We’re launching an exciting twice a month market at Portland Square in Sutton-in-Ashfield—giving independent traders, creatives, and food producers the perfect place to showcase their goods in a well-promoted, central location.

With space for 18 traders at each market (and the flexibility to expand as demand grows), Portland Square Makers Markets will provide opportunities for both new and established businesses. Traders also have the option to become monthly regulars, building stronger connections with the community and establishing loyal customer bases.

Trader Information

Portland Square Market

At Portland Square, we have space for up to 18 traders, each in a standard 3x3m gazebo pitch.

We also offer 4 shared gazebo spaces for hire, where two traders share a 3x6m gazebo. If you’re interested in hiring one of these shared pitches, please email us at trade@hello-marketplaces.com to book.

💷 Pitch Fees:

  • £35 for non-food traders

  • £50 for food traders

🚗 Free trader parking is available just a 1-minute walk from the market site.

To maintain variety and fairness, we aim to avoid duplication of products or food types. Where overlap occurs, pitches will be offered to the first suitable applicant.

How to Book a Pitch

  3. 📅 Select your market date(s) and submit your pitch request for review

Important Trader Requirements

✅ All traders are required to hold Public Liability Insurance with cover of £5 million.
✅ Food traders must also provide their food hygiene certificate(s).
